Oxbow members are proud to play on a championship 18-hole golf course designed by one of today's most accomplished golf course architects, Robert Trent Jones Jr. His use of ponds and the famous "Oxbow" lend playability and challenge for golfers of all levels. Perhaps one of the most dramatic finishing holes in the upper Midwest is #18 at Oxbow Country Club. A four par, which requires two strategic shots over water to make the green, challenges even the scratch golfers. Many matches have been won or lost on this memorable hole.
The picturesque #6 at Oxbow is a 532 yard par 5. A tight fairway awaits the second shot for those playing this hole to reach the green in regulation, with the water hazard lurking on the right. The big hitter will ponder a risk/reward shot when making a decision to go for the green in two. Bunkers and grass berms around the left and rear of the green may not leave them the third shot they are looking for.
Oxbow members enjoy a golf course maintained at levels not found on municipal courses. From the lush fairways to fast greens, Oxbow sets its standards high. The greens at Oxbow are said to be some of the best around the country, they roll smooth and true.
As challenging and fun as the course is, be sure to take in the views and surroundings. Watch for interesting wildlife, as we humans aren't the only animals you may encounter at Oxbow. A game at Oxbow is a full immersive escape from stress and the push and shove of everyday life.
